Barcelona star edging closer to January exit

Barcelona winger Arda Turan is closing in on an exit from the club with a return to Turkey touted as the most likely destination.

The 30-year-old joined the Catalan giants in 2015 after impressing for rivals Atletico Madrid, and he enjoyed two relatively positive campaigns at the Nou Camp with 15 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions.

However, he has yet to feature this season having suffered an injury, and it may well be his last year in Spain as a move to Fenerbahce in January is likely, according to Mynet.

It will be a disappointing conclusion to his time at Barcelona, but ultimately coach Ernesto Valverde has various other options at his disposal with an attacking trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele likely to be his favoured trio when all fit and in form.

In turn, with a La Liga title and two Copa del Rey trophies to show for his efforts during his time in Catalonia, Turan could be set to begin a new challenge in the new year.
