Barcelona blow as Griezmann talks of ‘possible’ Man Utd move

Manchester United and Barcelona are long time admirers of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

The Frenchman has a € 100 million release clause included in his contract and according to several reports in Spain and England, the two European giants will battle it out in the summer to seal the transfer of the Petite Diable.

Barcelona, however, are considering whether to invest such a huge sum as the last player to have joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid – Arda Turan – has incredibly flopped at the Camp Nou and Barcelona executives want to understand if investing such a huge amount of money on the signing of Griezmann may turn out being a problem for them.

In addition to it, the player has opened up to move to the Old Trafford at the end of the season.

“I have nothing against England, apart from the weather, Manchester United is a possibility. In June 2017 I prolonged my contract. I am tied to the club until 2022.”
“Although I missing titles, here I have everything to be happy. This does not mean they do not go away one day. I have not made a decision. It all depends on several factors. As much as I repeat that I am delighted at Atlético, I have a great coach and great teammates, they regularly ask me about my future. “But I do not exclude anything”, the 26-year-old wrote in his biography.
