Barcelona star Sergi Roberto has pledged loyalty to the Nou Camp based club, dealing blow to Juventus and Manchester United's hopes of signing him.

The 25-year-old, who happens to be a youth product of the famed La Masia, scored the historical winning goal that helped Barcelona beat Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 last season in the Champions League.

This season, Roberto has made nine appearances for the Catalans, out of which seven have been starts and two have been appearances from the bench. He has scored once, assisting thrice.

A Juventus and Man Utd target, Sergi Roberto committed his future to the La Liga giants in a recent interview. He said: "The injury is good, but I will not play against Juve and Valencia. Madrid's job is to be there.

"Barcelona is the club of my life and I want to stay here forever. That is why no one has to suffer for my renewal, I'm at the best club in the world. "
