If reports are to be believed, Barcelona executives are set to fly to Liverpool later this month to hold talks about a move for Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho, 25, was subject of multiple bids from the Catalan outfit this past summer, but Liverpool rejected all of them, keeping the Brazilian at Anfield. Barcelona’s interest though is still substantial and they still want their target.

Barcelona are desperate to land Coutinho in the winter and want to confirm a deal as soon as possible. That’s the primary reason for as to why the Catalan sides’ executives will fly to Liverpool later this month.

It is said that Ernesto Valverde wants to have Coutinho at his disposal as early as possible, with January set to be a very important month for the club not just in the title race, but also in the Copa del Rey.

Coutinho is keen on a Barcelona move already and is desperate to wear the club’s jersey as soon as possible. He has informed Liverpool of his desire to move and has told the club to consider Barcelona’s offers for him. He has, also informed the Merseyside club that they must not entertain offers from Paris Saint-Germain.
