The young Russian rising star was also seemingly on Arsenal's radar as Wenger's club offered CSKA Moscow close to 10 million pounds for him in the past. The Russian club is now looking to get closer to 20 million euros for him as it remains to be seen if Barcelona are ready to go that high.
Valverde's club beat Sevilla yesterday by a 2-1 score line at the Camp Nou as this was yet another important win for Barca.
