Barcelona, Man Utd target refuses to rule out Benfica exit

Barcelona are still looking for a decent replacement for Dani Alves who left the Camp Nou last summer to join Juventus. The versatile Benfica full-back Nelson Semedo has commented the interest of the blaugrana with an interview released with O Jogo.

“I don’t want to talk about transfer rumours too much. I am happy at Benfica at the moment, I am on good terms with the club and with my teammates. If something will happen then it will be very natural. Whoever plays for Benfica can play in any other league. I am focused on this cub at the moment. If there is going to be an offer that must satisfy me and the club.”

Semedo has a € 60 million release clause included in his contract with Benfica that expires in 2021. Semedo has two goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions this season.

Manchester United are also being linked with a move for the Portuguese with the Red Devils who are also interested in Semedo’s teammate Victor Lindelof.
