Barcelona meet with Arsenal, Juventus target

Barcelona look to have taken the lead in the race to nab Leon Goretzka, according to the Bild.

The Schalke star has a deal that is expiring next summer, encouraging the likes of Arsenal, PSG, Manchester City and Juventus to chase him.

But it looks like the Catalans are ahead in that race: Leon Goretzka’s entourage has met with Barcelona in recent days, in order to evaluate a potential move in January.

Goretzka and his agent want to leave in January because it would allow them to earn 20% of his transfer fee.

The feeling is that Barcelona are very close to nabbing their man, who is a Bundesliga veteran despite being only 22 years old.

What makes Goretzka so special is his ability to play all over the defence and midfield, something that has earned him rave reviews from all over.  If he doesn’t leave in January, he will be available in the summer on a free.
