    Barcelona: Pique's future already decided

According to Spanish journal Sport, Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is currently in negotiations to extend his contract with the Spanish giants. His current deal expires in 2019 and the 29-year-old is closing in on an extension that will see him finish his career at the Camp Nou.

Once his playing career with the Catalan giants has come to an end, Pique has stated that he would like to become President of the club one day. He has been in Barcelona since 2008 having served his apprenticeship in England under the tutelage of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. He’s currently played nearly 230 games for the blaugrana and has scored some vital goals out of his current tally of 21. Pique has also been a valuable part of the Spanish national team which has seen him become a World Cup winner in 2010 and a European Championship winner just two years later in 2012.
