Barcelona striker rules out exit

Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer is full of praise for his starting 11 competitors Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, despite the trio keeping the 23-year-old on the substitute’s bench, according to Spanish publication Macca via Goal.

The Spaniard moved to the Nou Camp 12 months ago for a fee reported to be £26.5m but struggled in the intial stages of the 2016/17 season, before making an impact at the latter end of the season.

The former Valencia man said: “Did I ever think about leaving Barca? Never, and I don't plan to leave.”

“It is very complicated and I have to work day to day to be prepared when [I have] the opportunity to play.

“I feel privileged to participate and I hope I will not get out of it for many years. I'm very happy.

“To tell people that I played with Leo, Luis and Ney is something that few players can say. The images that I can have with them will be very nice for the future."
The forward scored eight times in 17 outings for the La Liga giants.
