Barcelona want Juventus star Dybala, sent scout to Sevilla clash

Juventus fans, brace yourselves. As if the prospect of playing Serie A hotshots Fiorentina wasn't bad enough, it has now emerged that Barcelona are interested in star forward Paulo Dybala, and will try to sign him next summer.

His brother/agent revealed this interest to the press: "I've heard from sources close to the club that Barcelona like Paulo". He also confirmed that president Bartomeu sent someone to watch La Joya from the stands of the Sanchez Pizjuan, where Juventus fell 1-0 to Sevilla in Champions League action on Tuesday, despite the Argentine's best efforts.

Juventus are stonewalling everything, having brought in Dybala for €32 million (40 with bonuses) on a €3 million-a-year-deal. Whilst there is no talk of upgrading his contract, CEO Giuseppe Marotta knows that he may have a new Pogba case on his hands: a player who will be approached from all quarters, and who needs to be prioritised and nurtured.

But there's more: beyond quashing rumours, Marotta must avoid a repeat of Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman's departures, and assertions that star players leave the Bianconeri because they can't win European silverware there.
