Barcelona want Man City, Real target... but in 2018

Barcelona won’t try to sign Kylian M’Bappe this summer, but will very much be interested ahead of the 2018-2019 season.

M’Bappe is wanted by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City, as well as PSG, but the numbers flying around are increasing exponentially, with €130 million the latest sum said to be enough to prize him away from the Louis II Stadium.

L’Equipe write that neither the Blaugrana nor the young Monaco sensation’s entourage believe a move is feasible this summer, seeing as M’Bappe would be stuck behind the likes of Neymar, Messi and Luis Suarez, with the Argentine particularly keen that the former Liverpool man not be let go if he was to renew his deal.

That said, Barcelona see the 18-year-old – who scored nearly 20 goals in all competitions for Monaco last season – as a target for the future.

M’Bappe himself has been reported to have told Monaco that he would stay another season – something consistent with his repeated emphasis on playing time.
