Bari goalkeeper quits social media over fan threats

It's been a shocking week for Enrico Guarna. As if losing to Crotone at home wasn't bad enough for the Bari shotstopper, his team had been leading 2-1 until five minutes from time.

It was then that Inter loanee Isaac Donkor's horribly miscued backpass put Guarna in a tough situation. Left to his own devices, the goalkeeper floored striker Ante Budimir, and was promptly given his marching orders.

Giuseppe Torromino would bury the penalty... only for Budimir to then complete the comebacktwo minutes into stoppage time.

The defeat allowed Novara to leapfrog Bari into fourth place.

Though Donkor's pass precipitated the sending off, the Galletti's fans haven't been picky when it comes to apportioning blame, and following a number of attacks on the web, the former Spezia goalkeeper has decided to quit social media, closing all his accounts in the process.

"I did for my family," Guarna announced. "They would have worried if they'd read any of that. I take full responsibility for what happened, people should be angry at me, not Donkor"

You can see the foul on 3:04 in the video below, though if you start it 15 seconds or so before you'll see him make a cracking save and earn a kick in the peeper for it. It really hasn't been Guarna's week, has it?
