    Beleaguered Fiorentina closing in on Cristian Tello, chasing EPL striker

    Some Fiorentina fans have hit out at La Viola owner Andrea Della Valle accusing him of not investing enough money to strengthen the team.

    Their frustration was even more evident after that Paulo Sousa’s side had suffered two successive defeats against Lazio and Milan in Serie A.

    Some of them have gone further unfurling protest banner aimed at the club’s owner. The banner, which was removed, had read:

    “2002…2016, you have already made a name for yourself and you’ve get good publicity. That was your project, but now you have to make us a final gift: Go Away!!! [Signed] ‘your customers.’”

    According to Spanish press, by the way, Fiorentina are in transfer talks to sign Barcelona loanee Cristian Tello, who’s currently playing for Porto.

    The 24-year-old winger is struggling with playing time at the Dragao as he has only played 507 minutes in Liga Nos this term, registering one assist.

    The product of Barcelona Cantera is set to join the Franchi within the next 48 hours, the Catalan paper Sport has revealed.

    The rumor has been confirmed by the player’s agent.

    “Porto, Fiorentina and Barcelona are negotiating the player’s transfer. I think that he will sign with Fiorentina before the week-end.”, José Maria Orotbig told Fiorentinanews.com

    “Cristian wants to join Fiorentina because it would be a chance to join another great team. He comes from Barcelona, and though we respect  Porto, we believe that Fiorentina would be a big step forward in his career.”  

    According to Sport, Tello will join Fiorentina on a six-months loan with an € 8 million buy-out clause that the Tuscans can decide to exercise at the end of the current campaign.

    Fiorentina are also reportedly interested in replacing departing striker Giuseppe Rossi (who’s heading to Genoa) with West Ham’s Mauro Zarate, though La Liga sides Malaga and Betis Sevilla have also been linked with welcoming the Argentinean’s services.
