Benfica-Man Utd 0-1: tops and flops

Manchester United claimed all three points away at Benfica in what seemed a tough night for the Red Devils in front of the goal. The win sees United on nine points and three wins out of three.

A rookie error by 18-year-old Mile Svilar handed Rashford the goal as he was seen off his line by the United youngster and his free kick was too hard for the Benfica keeper to handle and he and the ball ended both over the line. Manchester United didn’t have many chances throughout the game however late on Martial had a chance late on in the game but the Benfica keeper saved his shot.

Benfica captain Luisao was sent of late in the game after he received his second yellow card for a tackle on Marcos Rashford. Next up for Manchester United in the Champions League is Benfica for the return fixture at Old Trafford.
