Berlusconi: ‘AC Milan have financial problems’

Former AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi talked to Telelombardia about the future of the rossoneri. Berlusconi sold a majority stake in AC Milan one year ago but now he has revealed he fears AC Milan have financial issues.

“I knew AC Milan have financial problems and I am worried about the silence of [AC Milan owner] Mr Li. If results would still be so disappointing Elliot could take over from springtime but the real problem is that without the Champions League qualification they’d lose over € 100 million. Whoever would buy the club next would pay less than the club’s value but will also have to pay debts for several year, influencing the growth of the club, that’s not a nice perspective.”

Berlusconi had remain in charge as AC Milan’s president for over 30 year. During his reign at AC Milan he became the most successful president in the history of football although the spending review of the last few years had made AC Milan fans upset. Even though the rossoneri did a stunning summer transfer campaign results are not going any better and the future could be even more scary than the present for the Serie A giants.
