Berlusconi overheard saying he wants to 'relaunch Iturbe's career at Milan'

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi may have just let the cat out of the bag, if the Corriere dello Sport is to be believed.

The newspaper claims that Il Cavaliere was overheard in a famous Roman restaurant saying that he "always had a soft spot for Iturbe".

He is also alleged to have said that he "wants to relaunch his career at AC Milan".

This confirms a previous report of ours from November, in which we said that Adriano Galliani was hot on Iturbe's heels. Instead, the Giallorossi flop moved to Bournemouth, where he has failed to make an impact.

The Rossoneri will still have to wait their turn, however. New Roma manager Luciano Spalletti would first like to test the 22-year-old in training camp, to see if he fits his tactical schemes. Only then will Iturbo be shopped around once more.
