Bojan-Totti, what a pair! Rafinha, Deulofeu and Sergi: Barça's future

    • M.G.

Calciomercato.com exclusively interviewed Joan Martinez Vilaseca, who has been a coach and scout of the youth team at Barça for 29 years. He discovered talents like Puyol, Iniesta, Xavi, Bojan, Thiago Alcantara and grew phenomenal players like Messi and Pique:

Bojan has practically been acquired by Roma. How do you feel watching him play far from Barcelona?
I am a bit sad, I brought him to Barça, but this is the best solution for him. He needs to find space somewhere else.

Will he adapt to Italian football?
Yes, for sure. Bojan has always scored in his career, when he had the chance to play. He's a box striker, not tall or strong, but uncommonly fast. I don't think he will have any problems in Italy.

    Will he pair with Totti?
Yes, I bet on this. Bojan is used to playing with top class players, they are ideal for him. They create, he scores. Easy, isn't it?

What about Cesc Fabregas: is he returning?
I really don't know. The newspapers always say so, but in the end he stays in London. Let's hope this year is the one. For sure, Cesc has the quality to play in this Barcelona, even though...

    Even though?
Even though Barcelona have already Xavi's heir in the midfield: Thiago Alcantara, who has renewed until 2015. When we brought him to Barcelona he was 14 years old, and already strong.

Let's talk about other young players at Barcelona.
I do like Sergi Roberto, a midfielder that Guardiola has already made play in the last part of the season. Then Rafinha, Thiago's brother. He's two years younger but with great skill. He's creative, but he can also be a second striker. Finally, there is Gerard Deulofeu: he's only 17, but he's a top player, very fast at dribbling.

Well Barça with all these young players can dream for the future...
If they will be patient and keep on investing in the young talents...
