Bonucci is already alienating his Milan team-mates

Leonardo Bonucci is already destabilising the Milan locker room, if the latest reports are accurate.

Carlo Mattei writes that the Juventus defender, who left for rivals Milan recently for €40 million, insisted on being given shirt No.19, despite the fact that Franck Kessie (another new signing) had been promised it.

Kessie’ wears that number in honour of his deceased father, who died on the 19th, and dedicates his goal celebration (a military salute) in his honour.

Bonucci isn’t making himself popular at the San Siro, having left Turin under a cloud after he tiffed with Coach Allegri, getting banned for an away trip to Porto in February.

The Italian international also got into an argument with Dani Alves and Andrea Barzagli during the half-time break of their 4-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

In starting yesterday’s friendly against Borussia Dortmund, Bonucci agreed to wear Number 19 with Milan, but angering Kessie and the rest of the locker room.

His Milan team-mates aren’t happy, with his high salary, and the fact that he was given the captain’s armband - he’s a recent acquisition after all, and someone who was swearing loyalty to Juve not a few months ago.
