Breaking: Barcelona activate buy-back clause to sign Everton winger

Barcelona have announced to have completed the signing of Gerard Deulofeu from Everton. The player joined the Toffees two years ago but failed to live up to expectations in England. This past January he joined AC Milan in a dry loan spell scoring four goals and registering three assists in 17 appearances.

Barcelona had a € 12 million option to buy which expired today and the La Liga giants have decided to activate it to take the Spaniard back to the Camp Nou.

Deulofeu, however, could still leave Barcelona in the summer as the latest report from Spain claim the former Everton flop wants to play on a regular basis next season in order to make it into the 2018 World Cup Spain national team.

AC Milan are still interested in signing the 23-year-old although Juventus and Roma have also emerged as possible contenders for the rossoneri. Deulofeu’s agent has recently revealed that his client would not mind a move to the Italian capital.
