Breaking: Ex-Inter boss makes first signing

Former Inter Milan boss Frank de Boer has made his first signing for Crystal Palace. He has bought in Chelsea’ Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a year-long loan deal.

The England under-21 international is a South London local, having been brought up in Lewisham.

The signing is the first for Palace under their newly installed manager de Boer, as they look to build on a relegation-battling season in 2016/17 and firmly compete in the Premier League.

The announcement was made via the club’s official Twitter page.
