Breaking: Juve handed transfer blow as Man Utd close in on Chelsea star

Juventus are likely to miss out on one of their major summer targets for this summer. Several reports in Italy claims the Old Lady is strongly interested in signing Chelsea star Nemanja Matic. Calciomercato.com has understood that the Serbian midfielder is one of Max Allegri’s priority targets but reports in England claim Chelsea are now open to sell the highly rated midfielder to their Premier League rivals.

José Mourinho is a long time target of Matic, so much so the Special One brought the Serbian back to the Stamford Bridge in January 2014.

Matic’s Man Utd move seemed to be off when the Red Devils completed the signing of Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku a few weeks ago.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, however, has reportedly given his green light to Matic’s sale to the Red Devils even if Man Utd will be challenging the Blues for a Premier League title next season. Matic is edging closer to Man Utd and Juve may need to start looking for another potential midfield reinforcement.
