Breaking: Liverpool interested in Mbappe

Esteemed journalist Kaveh Solhekol has revealed via the Sky Sports website that Liverpool are keen on bringing teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe to Anfield, but have concerns that the French international is not interested in a move to England from Monaco at this time.

The Merseyside club are monitoring the situation with the highly-sought 18-year-old and have let their interest been known to Monaco. But Jürgen Klopp’s side face stiff competition, with La Liga giants and last seasons’ Champions League winners Real Madrid thought to be ahead of the race, with a world-record breaking transfer fee reportedly on offer.

Monaco, it is thought, have recently made a 900% increase on Mbappe’s wages - from £16,000 a week to £140,000 a week - but he has turned down that offer, with sights on moving to bigger and better things with a club elsewhere.

Other sides interested in the player who scored 26 goals and provided eight assists for Monaco last season are Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
