Breaking: Ronaldo reveals he wants to return to Manchester United

Sky Italia are reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to return to Manchester United. With reports in the UK suggesting that the 32-year-old has already met with boss Jose Mourinho whom he played under at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013; comes news that his agent, Jorge Mendes, has started discussions on a sensational return to Old Trafford.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly contacted the Portuguese superstar to try to convince him to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu but after failing to gain the support of the club after last week’s news of the charges against him for tax evasion, a separation now looks imminent.

Advisors close to the player have stated that he could move for a fee of around £131M despite Spanish reports that it would take at least £175M to prize him away from the Spanish capital. There is also competition from France however, with Paris Saint-Germain ready to launch a monstrous bid for the four-time Ballon d’Or winner. The Parisians look set to collect around €100M for the sale of Italian midfielder Marco Verratti to Barcelona so will have the financial clout to rival the Red Devils.
