BVB won't sell Barca target, who recently met Guardiola

Borussia Dortmund look set to stonewall any attempt at signing Ousmane Dembele, if their sporting director is anything to go by.

The young winger is liked by PSG, Barcelona and Manchester CIty, and recently met with Pep Guardiola in order to discuss his role at the Etihad, where the Sky Blues are rich in talent.

But BVB’s sporting director, Michael Zork, has expressed his firm opposition to any move.

“It’s out of the question,” he told Die Welt, “What we’ve seen is extraordinary, both in his valuable role with the team and his personal improvement.

“You’ve always got the feeling that he can do something special, that he can make a difference.

“He can decide a game on his own, even those when he isn’t really that involved”.
Dembele moved to the Signal Iduna Arena at the start of last season.

The 20-year-old scored ten goals in all competitions last season, adding 18 assists.

Barcelona have considered him to be a long-term solution to replace the ageing elements in the MSN trio, but Dembele himself has doubts about how much he’d play at the Camp Nou.
