The President of the Italian FA, Carlo Tavecchio, will present his reform plan to restore Italian football back to its former glory during a meeting scheduled to be held this coming Monday at 12.00 pm CET.

At this meeting Tavecchio wishes to reveal that Carlo Ancelotti will be the next head coach of the Italian national team as contacts between the former Juventus, Real Madrid and Milan coach and the Italian FA continue. Ancelotti's demands are clear according to Corriere della Sera who report that he has asked for a contract beyond the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as well as complete control over the technical project including being able to appoint his own backroom staff.

According to the report, Ancelotti want to appoint Paolo Maldini in the Team Manager role as well as bringing in the recently retired Andrea Pirlo in a role as well. La Repubblica report that for the time being this is only an idea but the player who was coached by Ancelotti at AC Milan could return in a technical role for the Italian national team.
