Marco Giampaolo is no longer coach of Catania. The contract has been mutually terminated as announced on their official website.

This is the sixth Serie A coach to leave the bench after Colomba (Bologna, replaced by Malesani), Gian Piero Gasperini (Genoa replaced by Ballardini),  Pierpaolo Bisoli (Cagliari replaced by Donadoni), Beppe Iachini (Brescia replaced by Beretta), and Benitez, replaced by Leonardo.
