Champions League: Milan are the best in Italy
Its official, Milan are officially the best Italian team in the Champions League since the competition’s new format introduced in 1992.
Uefa have drawn up the virtual ranking assigning two points for every victory and a point for every draw. The rossoneri have amassed 197 points in the 165 games they have played followed by Juventus who sit just two points back but have played four games less in the competition. Both clubs have actually achieved the same amount of victories (74).
In third spot comes the last Italian side to win the competition Inter, who have 126 points in 105 games played, having amassed 50 wins. Completing the top five are Roma with 75 points in 79 matches and Lazio, who have 45 points from their 44 games played.
