Chelsea & AC Milan transfer news: Higuain waits for Sarri’s call

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly still taking the possibility of signing Gonzalo Higuain seriously and could move for him when the opportunity arises.

Higuain joined Milan from Juventus this past summer on a two-year long loan in  a deal that saw Leonardo Bonucci go back to Juve and Mattia Caldara joined Milan on a permanent basis.

Corriere dello Sport state that despite Rino Gattuso stating that Gonzalo Higuain doesn't wish to leave the club, the Argentine is waiting on a call from Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea.

Gattuso was asked about Higuain in a recent interview and he said: "I don't think so."

Despite those comments, the outlet states that Chelsea are still looking at Higuain and will want to make a move for the striker as soon as they can. The player too hopes that they come calling for him.

Since his arrival at the San Siro, Higuain has scored five times in ten Serie A games.
