Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on Olympique Lyon’s young defender Mouctar Diakhaby, if reports are to be believed.

Diakhaby, currently 20, is being eyed by the Blues as they are currently said to be unhappy with the performances of summer signing Antonio Rudiger, who joined from Roma for a fee in the region of £29 million.

Rudiger has endured an inconsistent and a frustrating start to life at Chelsea, as he looks to settle into life in England and in the Premier League.

Diakhaby has emerged as one of Ligue 1’s best youngsters since he made a debut back in September 2016. He has appeared around 26 times in the league for the French club, playing an important role in their ambitions so far.

Currently contracted at Lyon till 2022, Diakhaby is a product of the club’s famed youth academy and has appeared five times for the French U-21 side already.
