Chelsea and Inter on alert as Roma awaits offer from Zenit for Manolas

According to Skysports, Rome and Zenit have not found an agreement to transfer Manolas. At this point, the negotiation for the Greek defender still remains complicated. According to Sky Sport, in fact, a meeting between Roma’s sporting director Monchi and the leaders of Zenit St. Petersburg is under way in Monaco. The parties are working to fill in details for the transfer of the Greek powerhouse to Russia.

There did seem to be some successful outcomes for the deal: Manolas said yes to Zenit's proposal of a contract worth 3.5 million EUR per season plus bonuses. For now the agreement between the two clubs is still under negotiation, Roma ask for around 30 million EUR for the defender.

As of yet, with no agreement reached, Inter and Chelsea will be on alert on the periphery. Both clubs have been monitoring the Greek defender for some time, and would be ready to hijack a transfer should Zenit fail to come to an agreement with Inter.
