Chelsea and Liverpool to go head to head for Inter midfield star

Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing Inter midfield star Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to a report of France Football via The Daily Mirror.

The Frenchman had been struggling to justify his € 40 million price-tag under both Roberto Mancini and Frank De Boer, but seems to have returned to his best standards with new manager Stefano Pioli in charge of the Meazza outfit.

The Italian tactician trusts the former AS Monaco and plays him on a regular basis. Kondogbia has always responded with great performances that have nothing to do with his poor conduct before the former Parma and Lazio boss was appointed as Inter head coach last November.

Kondogbia’s positive performances have been noticed by some of the best European clubs out there. The French International has the potential to become a modern box-to-box midfielder and Chelsea and Liverpool are well aware of that so much so they’ve added the 23-year-old to their transfer shortlist for next summer.

Inter, however, are not likely to sell their star given that he’s now settling in well in Italy and selling him in his best moment of his career would be a kind of nonsense.
