Chelsea and Man Utd on red alert as AC Milan weigh up offer for € 100m Serie A star

AC Milan are ready to make an opening bid to sign Torino star Andrea Belotti, according to a report of La Stampa.

Belotti has a € 100 million release clause included in his contract with Torino. Scorer of 28 goals in all competitions this season, Belotti has become one of the hottest commodities around Europe so much so Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown their interest in the former Palermo promise.

Belotti, 23, may decide to stay for one more season at Torino and leave his club after the 2018 World Cup and his release clause can only be activated by foreign clubs. According to the Turin-based paper, AC Milan are ready to offer € 80 million plus one of their out of favour players.

Gianluca Lapadula, M’Baye Niang or Andrea Bertolacci could be included in a player-plus cash swap deal. Torino President Urbano Cairo, however, only wants to sell Belotti for his release clause which is not available for Serie A clubs.
