Chelsea closing in on Roma's Rudiger: Here is what we know so far...

Antonio Conte's Chelsea are targeting Roma's Antonio Rudiger. Di Francesco's club were on the verge of selling Kostas Manolas to Zenit but in the end, the Greek defender had a change of heart at the last second. Because of this, Roma have since opened negotiations with Chelsea for another one of their defenders: Antonio Rudiger. Both defenders are well liked by Inter's new coach Luciano Spalletti (who was Roma's coach in the past) but it remains to be seen if Palotta's club would be willing to sell them a player. Here is what we now know on the matter:

HIS AGENT WILL BE IN LONDON - Rudiger is now on Antonio Conte's radar. According to what Sky Sport reported, both clubs have already met concerning the matter. The player's agent is now set to leave for London as he will discuss contractual numbers with the Blues. Talks are seemingly in an advanced stage as the parties inch closer.

THE NUMBERS - Roma would like to get 40 million euros for their German defender as Chelsea are seemingly offering 33 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses for him, this according to Sky Italia. If all goes as planned, Rudiger should sign a 5 year contract with Chelsea.
