Chelsea: Conte heading down the road to Craven Cottage to find his number two keeper

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte may not have too far to look to find a back-up goalkeeper to Thibaut Courtois. The Italian tactician is believed to have his eyes on Fulham shot-stopper Marcus Bettinelli who had an incredible season at Craven Cottage which almost resulted in his side being promoted to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has had chances in the past to go to Stamford Bridge however; back in 2015 he rejected a move due to the fact that he didn’t want to play second fiddle to the big Belgian but Conte is hoping that he can persuade the London born custodian to make the short move this time around.

With the prospect of experiencing Champions League football next term a real selling point, plus the fact that he would receive a substantial rise in his salary, the time may be right for the highly-rated keeper to make the big move.
