Chelsea: Conte issues bad news for Roma

Antonio Conte held a press conference at Chelsea training ground Cobham on Friday afternoon. The Italian tactician talked about the fitness of some of the Blues injured stars like Ngolo Kante and Alvaro Morata.

The star duo have been out of action for a few weeks but Conte hopes to recover at least the Spanish striker for the Champions League clash against Roma next week.

“Kante has a muscular problem and he is going to remain out of action for 20 days at least. He needs further medical examination to understand how long he will be staying out of action. As for Morata I hope I will recover him in time for the Roma clash.”

Bad news for the Serie A giants then who may see Morata play against them next week.

“Drinkwater is progressing well, but he will take time to recover. I won’t move David Luiz from defence, he is one of the best defenders in the world and I want change his position”, the Italian said (as quoted by Il Corriere dello Sport).
