Chelsea deal Juve and Liverpool transfer blow with € 64m signing
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the most exciting attacking wingers in Europe and Chelsea have completed his signing for € 64 million. The Blues will finalize the deal in the current transfer window but the player will only join the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc commented on Pulisic’s Chelsea move on Borussia’s official website: “Playing in the Premier League is a dream that Christian has always had. That’s because of his American background. Also, we were not able to extend his contract. In this context, we decided to accept a very lucrative offer made by Chelsea as Pulisic’s contract extension was close. I am sure that Christian will do everything he can to reach his objectives with Borussia Dortumd”.
Pulisic, 20, had also been linked with joining Liverpool or Juventus but the Blues managed to complete his signing ahead of their European rivals. It remains to bee seen whether there will be enough space for both Hazard and Pulisic at Stamford Bridge in the 2019/2020 campaign.
