Chelsea defender won't sign for AC Milan in January

Serie A giants AC Milan will reportedly not sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen from January, despite the defender willing to leave the club in the winter transfer window.

Christensen has fallen out of favor at the club this season under Maurizio Sarri and is yet to make a single Premier League appearance. He has appeared twice in the League Cup, appearing five times in the UEFA Europa League too.

While the Danish defender has been linked with a move to Milan, Gazzetta dello Sport state that the rossoneri will not join the club in January. While it has been made clear by the player's father that he could move if the defender doesn't get enough time, Chelsea are not allowing him to move.

Chelsea want Milan to do deal with only one player this winter, either Tiemoue Bakayoko or Christensen. It seems as though Rino Gattuso's men will stay put with having only Bakayoko sign permanently.
