Chelsea goalie decides his future...

Goalkeepers are the talk of the hour, with Gigio Donnarumma’s decision not to renew catapulting the domino effect of goalie transfers and speculation across Europe. News this time comes from England, as the British press reported that Thibaut Courtois has decided to stay at Chelsea. According to reports the Blues are already working to propose an attractive contract renewal to the Belgian.

In January it seemed almost certain that Courtois would be moving to Madrid to play for Real. Either he or Manchester United’s David De Gea were nearly a guarantee to be in between the posts at the Bernabeu next season. Now, after Donnarumma’s decision and new reports that Courtois will stay at Chelsea, it’s yet to be seen how the Spanish giants will move next.

The young Belgian has quickly shot himself to the upper echelon of goalkeeping talent in Europe. An impressive league winning season for Chelsea at the ripe age of 25 showed how valuable a quality shot stopper can be, and the Blues will be more than happy to tie down their keeper to a contract renewal.
