Chelsea legend set to make a decision on future this week

Ex-Chelsea captain John Terry is set to make a decision on his future this week, with Championship side Aston Villa in waiting.

Villa have reportedly offered the 36-year-old centre-back a one-year-deal that would see him join up at the Midlands club for a season in the second tier of English football. But other clubs, such as Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, Stoke City and Bournemouth, also lurking in the background for the ex-England international.

There are also prospects and offers for the defender coming from abroad, while the option is also there for him to retire and continue his football career as a coach, but
the Daily Mail are now reporting that this is the week where the Blues legend will finally make a decision on his future.

The player, who enjoyed a trophy-laden 22-year spell with the Pensioners, picking up multiple Premier League titles and a Champions League winners medal, recently played golf with Villa manager Steve Bruce, fuelling the speculation of his signing on the club.
