Chelsea legend Zola slams Tottenham duo

GianFranco Zola had a great playing career as he mostly played in the Serie A and the EPL. The little Italian forward played for clubs such as Napoli, Parma and Cagliari to name a few. He also had a very successful career in the EPL for Chelsea as he scored 59 EPL goals for them in 229 games. He retired from football in 2005 as he has since managed a few different clubs (West Ham, Watford, Cagliari, Al-Arabi and more recently Birmingham). Here is what he had to say concerning a few Tottenham players in an interview with the press:

"I have to be honest, I don't like Verthongen very much. He has good feet which is important for a club like Tottenham since Pochettino likes the start the build-up play from the back. I think that Alderweireld is Tottenham's best defender at this moment in time. Dier? He wasn't well positioned on Arsenal's opening goal, he had to cover the play better. He isn't living a great moment but form is temporary. Even against Brazil he struggled a bit too. He seems very slow, I think he might be thinking too much....".
