Chelsea on alert as Napoli star set to leave for free

Napoli star Dries Mertens is reportedly set to have his current contract get run out in the summer of 2020.

Mertens has been a key figure for the partenopei ever since he joined the club from PSV Eindhoven. Even this season, he's been vital for Carlo Ancelotti and had been one of the most important players under Maurizio Sarri.

Il Mattino state that Mertens will not be renewing his Napoli contract and with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2020, he will be set to leave the Stadio San Paolo for free. Chelsea have been linked with him previously.
