Chelsea will try to sign Suarez if Conte is sacked

Chelsea would be in pole position for Luis Suarez if Antonio Conte was sacked, an El Chiringuito pundit has boldly claimed.

Journalist Eduardo Inda told the famous Spanish transfer program that, were Conte to be sacked, Luis Enrique would be first in line for the Pensioners job, and that the Spaniard would want to bring Suarez back to the Premier League.

Enrique has been without a job since resigning from Barcelona at the end of last season, having won a Champions League there, beating Juventus in the 2015 final. The Spaniard had signed Suarez from Liverpool for a huge € 81 million.

A stuttering start this season has been turned around recently, the 31-year-old totalling 16 Liga goals in 19 games.

He is not exactly the most popular striker in England, having got into trouble for a series of controversial acts, including racially abusing an opponent back in his Premier League days.
