Novara have been active in the January transfer window with the signings of Andrea Caracciolo and Giuseppe Mascara.

However, the club from Piedmont hasn’t shown further interest in Chinese starlet Chen Tao.

The attacking midfielder from Tianjin Teda looked close to Novara at one stage but has confirmed by his agent there is little margin for negotiations now.

“Novara are in a delicate position and this doesn’t allow them to concentrate on this deal,” agent Oberto Petricca told Calciomercato.com.

“For this window I don’t think there is any chance to see the deal completed,” concluded Petricca.
