Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho is on the verge of leaving his current club. The player has been linked to several Serie A clubs but is now closer to a move to the Premier League.

“Cissokho could be sold in January although I feel he is making a mistake,” explained Lyon boss Remi Garde.

Milan almost signed the player two seasons ago but rejected him following medicals. Still the Rossoneri have been following him. Juventus, Roma and Lazio have also monitored his progress in Ligue 1.

Still, according to sources close to CM.com, the player is about to sign for Newcastle.
