City join Bayern in hunt for Diawara, Juve's €10m offer not enough

Fabrizio Romano returns with some more exclusive news for calciomercato readers.

Despite losing 2-1 to Inter last night, Bologna came away from the San Siro with the certainty that midfield promise Diawara is the real thing.

Already compared by some to Yaya Toure, we can confirm that Manchester city have expressed an interest in the young midfield, and are set to be a patio of the long transfer data over the 18-year-old's future.

Diawara had previously been contacted by Juventus, Inter... and Bayern Munich, who met with his entourage on two occasions to try and gauge what it wanted.

Bologna Director of Sport Pantaleo Corvino had made it very clear, however, that the €10 million Juventus put on the table, along with a player or two, wasn't enough.

It now appears thar €15 or 16 million is the bare minimum, and that Bologna owner Joey Saputo knows that he has a treasure in his hands.

Speaking of Manchester, a certain Jose Mourinho was very interested in Diawara when he was still in charge at Stamford Bridge.

What will happen now that he looks set to move to Old Trafford?
