Conte faces key late fitness call on Chelsea ace for Roma clash

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that he will speak with midfielder N'Golo Kante to determine if he can feature against Roma in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.

The Premier League champions have travelled to the Italian capital for the crucial clash as they look to move clear at the top of Group C with a win.

A defeat would open up the group, particularly if Atletico Madrid can see off Qarabag, and so the Italian tactician will be desperate to have as close to a full-strength side as possible.

However, he has conceded that he faces a late call on Kante, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since earlier this month.

"It's very important to listen to the player, to find out his feeling and then make the best decision for him and the team.

"For sure tomorrow we try to make the best decision."

Conte confirmed that while VIctor Moses misses out, summer signing Danny Drinkwater is available as they'll face a tough test against Eusebio Di Francesco's side following their thrilling 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago.
