Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reportedly asked Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud to join him at Stamford Bridge.

Conte was present in London for the The Best FIFA Awards ceremony. And while he didn’t win the Best Manager accolade, he took advantage of the situation to talk to Giroud, who won the Goal of the Year prize.

It is well known that the former Juve boss is looking for a striker, with Michy Batshuayi deemed not good enough to replace Alvaro Morata up front.

Conte asked Giroud about his situation at Arsenal, expressing his interest in bringing him to the Blue side of London. It is said that Giroud is settled at the Emirates but is open to considering offers once they arrive and it is after the offers arrive that he will make a decision about his future.

The 31-year-old has not made a single start for the Gunners this season, making eight appearances from the bench and has scored only twice.
