UCL recap: Ronaldo comes up big as he is this season's UCL top scorer

The final game of the 2016-17 UEFA Champions league has now gone by as Real Madrid beat Juventus by a 4-1 score (goals from Ronaldo (2), Asensio and Casemiro for Real Madrid, Mandzukic for Juve). It had been 21 years since Juve won their last UCL title as they will have to wait a little longer. With the win, Real Madrid are the first team since AC Milan (1989-1990) to win back-to-back UEFA Champions league titles. The first half of this game was very balanced but Real Madrid really flexed their muscles in the second half as they surprised Juventus and scored three goals. The Bianconeri and Buffon still deserve a lot of credit as they had an incredible year.

RONALDO SURPASSES MESSI - With his two goals today against Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo leapfrogged Lionel Messi as this year's top UCL scorer. Messi had scored 11 goals and Ronaldo finished with 12 goals. He was huge in the finals as he is now the favorite to win this year's Balon d'or.
