Cristiano Ronaldo omitted from Portugal squad list

Real Madrid’s Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been omitted from the Portugal national side for the games against United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

The duo of Andre Silva and Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario have made it to the side, with Manchester City summer signing Bernardo Silva also selected by Fernando Santos.

PSG star Goncalo Guedes, who is currently lighting up the La Liga with impressive performances on his loan spell at Valencia, has also earned a well deserved selection to the side.

Portugal have already qualified for the FIFA World Cup that will take place in Russia next year by topping a group that consisted of Switzerland and Hungary.
