Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo: 'Selling Morata was a mistake, I'm not signing a new contract'

Cristiano Ronaldo is not happy with Real Madrid’s defeat against Tottenham in Champions League and does nothing to hide his disappointment.

The Portuguese star talked to media after the Wembley clash and hit out at his own club.
“I am happy in Madrid, I have four years left in my contract and I am not going to sign a new agreement but I am feeling well”, Ronaldo told BeinSports (as quoted by Mundo Deportivo).

“However, we were a better team with Pepe, James and Morata. They made us stronger whilst new players are younger and do not have enough experience. Experience is very important. We also miss the likes of Carvajal and Bale, when the team is united we are all stronger but this can be no excuse.”

Real Madrid sold Pepe last summer as they refused to accept his conditions to sign a new contract whilst both James and Morata left because they wanted to have more game time. The Colombian moved to Bayern Munich on a loan deal with option to buy whilst Morata has joined Chelsea in a permanent € 80 million move.
